Karoonda Farm Fair has made room for Monster Trucks at this years farm fair. Get a ride, get up close and personal to the high-powered vehicles. Standing nearly four metres tall and four metres wide, the Monster Trucks are custom-designed machine that weighs around five tons. Built for short, high powered bursts of speed, the 'Monster Patrols' will be performing four breathtaking jump stunt shows - you wouldn’t want to miss as they are built to fly! Throughout the day you can catch a ride on 'Buster' for a unique sensory experience like no other only at this year’s Karoonda Farm Fair. 

'Buster' will be offering patrons rides all day at $10pp for 10minutes. Thrill of a lifetime.

'Monster Patrols' will be performing twice daily - check out the program for stunt show times.  



ABC television's Gardening Australia presenter, Sophie Thomson will be appearing at 11am and 1:30pm on both Friday and Saturday. 

She will be providing you with all your gardening tips and facts to make your garden flourish all year round. 

Sophie is known for her resilience, environmental outlook, laser-like focus as well as her infectious enthusiasm, vitality and love of sustainable gardening. She describes herself as an "obsessive-compulsive gardener" who is passionate about the role of gardening plays in people's lives. As an advocate for the worldwide Nature Play movement, she loves to help kids develop a lifelong connection with nature, and strongly believes in creating green backyards and green open spaces.

Upcycle Garden Challenge

Use your imagniation and Upcyle those unwanted items and turn them into items of values. Turn any discarded or reusable objects and turn them into a piece of furniture, garden art or shed ware.

- Best design under 17 years old
- Best overall design
- Peoples choice award 

Prizes will be awarded. 




This year’s fashion parades will be held in the Regional Development Lifestyle Pavilion with two parades daily, 11.45am and 2:15pm.

The fashion parade will also feature clothing from local businesses such as, Bridge Street Boutique, Trade Winds Gear, Harmony Sista and Bullrush as well as the AWI 101 runway kit. During the parade you will see the latest trends of women’s; men and children’s clothing, accessories and footwear.

The clothing on display during the Fashion Parades will be available at their sites at Farm Fair at discounted prices.

All thanks to Powell Models Agency education program, students from Karoonda Area School who have undertaken confidence building training will be given the opportunity to showcase exclusive leading brands with confidence. 

Additional, a large cohort of volunteers will once again work together to bring this popular fashion parade event together for the 2017 Karoonda Farm Fair.



All activities are now on the Western end of the Field Day site, fully catered for and loads of entertainment.

The area will be completely secured from the rest of the field day site, ensuring all people stay in the designated area.

The ever popular Speed Shear will be held in “Greeny’s Shearing Shed” where the best shearers in South Australia will compete. Other Entertainment is still 

Live music will keep patrons entertained and meals will be available.




This exciting event is programmed for Saturday April 2nd where shearers from across the state come to Karoonda. Competition commences at 8.30 a.m. with the Learners, followed by Intermediate, Senior and Open Sections. The State and Karoonda Wool Handling Championships are also held.

The Shearing Shed is an excellent venue for watching the best shearers in the State perform.

The Wool Competition will showcase the finest fibres from around the district. 

With over 10 categories it will provide an opportunity for exhibitor to promote and benchmark their stud. 

Prize money up for grabs for the best fleece in each category.

We welcome you once again to the Karoonda Farm Fair. If you are a new exhibitor or a previous exhibitor we invite you to be part of the 2017 Fair. If you run a business or a franchise or may be you are involved in marketing and promotions whether it be a school or college, business, franchise, winery or produce, we invite you to consider coming to the Fair.

The Fair is held at Karoonda , “The Heart of the Murraylands”. The marquee is located on lawn and close to the food court and conveniences. The sites are 3 meters square with extra sites available upon request. The layout ensures easy access for the public and gives the exhibitor good exposure.

The Lifestyle Pavilion is available to exhibitors of small business, government departments, finance, information providers and wineries. The marquee attracts exhibitors of clothing, toys, arts, crafts, confectionery, hobbies, cosmetics, computers, wine sales and tasting, natural and alternative therapies.

Site holders are encouraged to demonstrate their products, or to have tastings. If you have any special requirements please contact the Fair Manager Ray Bald on 0408 813452.




Test your partner skills in the Farm Fair Challenge.

It doesn't matter how young or old you are - it's all about the time and how well you complete the tasks. You'll work together to complete the following tasks.

- overalls off the line, put on and button up
- eat a dry weet-bix
- roll up a swag
- find an ear tag in the wool
- set a table
- stack hay bales
- find potatoes in the dirt and cart around
- egg and spoon race
- take off the overalls, hang back on the line

The 2017 Karoonda Farm Fair program is the Murray Computers Photography Competition. This competition is not limited by categories so submit your best photos! Whether its a photo with friends, animals, flora, architecture or weather - pick the best and enter to win cash prizes. Entries close March 17, 2017.

This competition is free and open to all ages.
